Decision support tool for sustainable choices about end of life strategies of manufacturing equipment
The objective of this project is to develop an AI-based solution able to assess the actual exploitable life of machine components at the end of first life, and identify components that need to be renovated and/or retrofitted (including the related cost)

DECAL is running as subgrant agreement of the H2020 MIND4MACHINES project and addresses the challenge faced by manufacturing companies, in particular the need of novel decision support systems by integrating Industry 4.0 technologies, such IoT, advanced analytics and AI
Impact: Increase the machines lifetime; reduce total cost of reuse of machine; ensure quality performance in the second lifetime of the manufacturing equipment
The DECAL project has indirectly received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation action program, via the MIND4MACHINES Open Call #2 issued and executed under the MIND4MACHINES project (Grant Agreement no. 101005711).
